Commonality of Faiths

Everyone needs to have a faith. But to have Faith in that Faith is  important. 

But labelling that Faith into various religious labels or philosophies is usually the cause of most troubles

I was thinking of all the murders, terrorism, rapes, wars, fires, atrocities etc. 

Where did all this suddenly come from that didn't exist till about 20 years ago. 

People blamed the major powers, the Nazis, the Jews, the Palestinians, the Colonials, and the uneducated and the mass movement of  homeless populations as it had happened in the Exodus.

But are they the causes.?

After the Kurukshetra war there was victory but kingdoms & lives were lost, Bhishma, the Pitha Guru, lay dying.

Arjuna asked Krishna standing there, why all this destruction was necessary. 

He answered, “To annihilate adharma & to reinstall Dharma, I had to come & the old order has to change to a new order. Threta Yuga ends & Kali Yuga will start.”

So Arjuna asked him what the future for the world was . 

Krishna pointed the question to Bhishma.

He answered."Threta Yuga is leading us into Kali Yuga, a worse period. No Fidelity, infidelity will thrive, jealousy & envy will hold forth. Man will kill man in the name of God. Wars will be fought. Starvation & pestilence & epidemics will rage. Adharma will be the order. Faith will diminish. Nations will perish, people will start wandering again. Dishonesty & personal gain will be the order

This will go on for the period of Kali Yuga, till Vishnu will reincarnate as Kalki to destroy the injustices & adharma & reinstate them after the end of that Yuga. The world will end in fire.

And Kali who will be the alter ego banished but always lingering in the background, trying to lead people into temptation. And to destroy Kali, Pradhyumna, Son of God/Krishna will appear. and  this will go on"

This was a prediction made over 5000 years ago & I believe that it is happening, but we are having very little control over it.

 Mathew 24:3; Luke 21:11 states

"The last days would be marked by wars, famine and epidemics of deadly diseases" 2 Timothy 3:2-5 states

During the last days, human society would suffer a serious moral & spiritual breakdown."

Stephen Hawkings has predicted that the planet will be destroyed within a few decades by wars, pestilence, climate change natural disasters, population explosion, epidemics, nuclear destruction, or a meteorite collision. The current occurrences seem to herald such an end.
We, without choice, have been placed here to suffer along with it.

There is a commonality running through.

Service to Humankind

Venkateswaran My Father N Venkateswaran was a graduate of St Thomas’ College in Kerala, a Jesuit institution & it was not surprising that he found his niche as a teacher in another Jesuit institution, St Aloysius’ College in Galle, Ceylon. Pedagogy was his love and geography was his mistress. Though many a colleague tutored privately for money, he was very firm and stated time and again that he will not prostitute his profession. His values were all passed onto his children and they have done well, all of them Aloysians and students of Sacred Heart Convent. His knowledge of geography was so good that he could describe any city or country as if he had just been there. Our home was like a tutorial school, the lounge filled with chairs, desks and a black board. DO NOT DO ANY GOOD

By Dr. V. Venkateswaran,  NSW There was a good person who passed on and was so good that even the spelling to "evil" was not known. Was swished past purgatory to the gates of heaven. St. Peter checked the credentials, and was buzzed  into the next room.  There an angel, as there was no sex or colour discrimination in heaven, handed over over a white cloak and a harp, and ushered into heaven.  There perilously standing on a cloud, a halo with a hole, the same monotonous tones were strung on the harp. It rained, water came in through the halo. Air India and Singapore Airlines Jumbos whizzed past perilously close. Anyway, the chance of the "once a year request" came. A Visa was applied for, to visit the less fortunate friends. There was a welcome, fawned upon, with wine, dance and music. This is the place one should be, not heaven" was the decision.
